Jacksonville Division
The Jacksonville Division began a new
procedure for the electronic submission
of proposed orders, now available to
electronic filers. The event, entitled
"Proposed Order - Jacksonville
Only", is available under the Miscellaneous
and Trustee/US Trustee categories in
CM/ECF. Effective Monday, August 16,
2005, all proposed orders submitted
by electronic filers must be filed using
this proposed order event.
This event allows the electronic submission
of proposed orders, judgments, findings
of fact and conclusions of law to the
Court for review and entry by the judge,
if appropriate. Although the docket
entry text is viewable on case dockets,
the attached proposed order is not and
is accessible only by Clerk’s
Office staff. By utilizing this procedure
for the submission of proposed orders,
electronic filers will no longer be
required to furnish additional copies
of the order or self-addressed, stamped
envelopes. (Note: You may be requested
to submit stamped envelopes for use
in mailing judgments, findings of fact,
and conclusions of law.) When listing
parties who are to receive a copy of
the signed order, you must indicate
the party's full name and address in
the "Copy to" section of the
proposed order if it is to be mailed
to anyone other than the Debtor, Debtor's
Attorney, Trustee, U.S. Trustee, or
All Interested Parties. In addition,
when submitting proposed orders that
relate to a motion or objection containing
negative notice, please ensure that
you wait the appropriate period of time
for objections to expire prior to submitting
the proposed order.
As a courtesy, it is requested that
parties submitting proposed judgments,
findings of fact and conclusions of
law continue to also submit these on
a diskette to the Clerk’s Office
for use in chambers.
